A little piece of solace from my old home
As always visiting home has put me in a mixed mood. It's been really weird. The welcome phase was great and this time it lasted longer. I enjoyed that little piece of bliss here. The little bit of solace I find each time puts it all in perspective. I remember thinking that perhaps I've come to a point where Charleville and I have this mutual respect for each other as though Charleville is a person. Guess it is an entity that holds characteristics parallel to that of what makes a person. I'm in the middle of a love hate relationship. I feel like someone trying to make amends with a drunk I've fallen in love with. It's hopeless because there's to much that's missing. But of what's here I want to keep the good bits and take them with me. The stars are so fucking amazing! The simplicity! The old landmarks with the attached memories. The beautiful things that helped shape me.
    A visitor.

This week my lack of attention accounted for 80% of my mistakes, residual = intentional negligence!
This is interesting, not sure how to start this entry so might just begin with thursdays series of events. Slept in because wasn't feeling tops so went to work in a bit of a hast. Whilst sitting at the lights in my car just before the TOOWONG Tower I hit the guy in front of me. One of those moments where you just sit back and wait for an external reaction before assessing what is the required response.
So after slamming the breaks and sitting for 10seconds trying to figure out if what just happened actually just happened. the guy gets out of his car and it hits me that I'm in the shit. First I hope he doesn't have anger issues and then I hope the damage isn't bad. I'm actually surprised that I didn't give much of an emotional reaction. I just said "did I get you there?" totally irrelevant because I obviously had, as confirmed by his getting out of the car. Was just a scratch, I apologised a hundred times, he didn't even say much at all and then swapped details.
Very bizarre but soooo glad it wasn't worse. Hope it doesn't dip into my India (...indeed) fund to much.
Not feeling to bad about it now. Just caught up with Megan in the valley about India (...indeed). Found a lonely planet book about India (...indeed) 2005 edition for $15. Then caught up with Dmitri for AIESEC stuff which is consuming alot of my life at the moment. Just brought a kick arse backpack and just realised I can give it a whirl for splendour. Later (very soon actually) going to a party with you guys which makes the purpose of this post merely a vent-out-some-crap session. much better!

    yeah hmmmmm
Crazy times! Having a revolutionary life change epiphany! Feel very inspired about everything at the moment. Lovin everything! Work is cool doing the social work gig and only have a bit of studying to go so at the moment very excited about approaching a major crossroad of 'what the hell do i do now' type of thing. Which I'm just gonna embrace and roll with. Only downer is not much time to chill with friends. But was able to get a great gig fix at the zoo- saw the Mountain Goats! ABSOLUTELY ROCKED!

    yeah huh!
This drill is familiar,,, started LJ ages ago did one entry then totally forgot that the whole thing existed... until today!
Thought it would be a good idea to give it another go seeing as I have more access to the net and time to kill at uni now that I'm back studying psychology will semi-partially studying as I only have one whole subject! Long story there but basically went part time last year in the smack bang middle of my honours year. Got my Thesis out of the way and basically found out that QLD kiddies who feel like they belong in their family and school are better kiddies and psychological sense of community (neighbourhood membership) doesn't really impact much at all and no differences between rural and urban kiddies! Didn't really make for a woweeee result because lack of numbers... didn't find big enough effect ra ra ra so over it now anyway and got me a good mark so not gonna dwell on it (even though that little blurb was a bit of a dwell) meh!

So shall see how it goes... no doubt it will become a space to vent out whatever the fuck is going on...!

    Current Mood: blah
